Acupuncture for Heroic K9s Injured in the Earthquake Rescue Mission
Supporting the Search and Rescue Efforts

Following the devastating earthquake on March 28, 2025, which caused a building collapse in the Chatuchak area, the tragedy brought immense pain and loss to people across Thailand. Amid the crisis, search and rescue teams—both human and their “four-legged heroes,” the K9 rescue dogs—worked tirelessly to save as many survivors as possible.

In such a dangerous and high-pressure mission, many K9s became exhausted, and some sustained injuries from debris or harsh conditions in the field.
Erawan Pet Hospital is proud to play a small but meaningful part in supporting this vital mission. We dispatched a volunteer veterinary team to the disaster zone to provide medical care and treatment for the K9 dogs on the front lines of the search efforts.

One of our greatest honors was having a veterinary acupuncturist join the rescue support team.

Dr. Korawan Chaisalee, Director of Erawan Pet Hospital Lopburi Center and a specialist in veterinary acupuncture, entered the field to treat K9s suffering from muscle fatigue, inflammation, and injuries—helping them recover and regain strength through acupuncture therapy.

Acupuncture for working dogs like K9s is a highly specialized field requiring advanced expertise. At Erawan Pet Hospital, we have continuously developed our veterinary acupuncture team to ensure the highest quality care. Acupuncture doesn’t just relieve physical pain—it also promotes faster recovery by improving blood circulation, reducing inflammation, and helping these brave dogs return safely to their critical duties.

“We may not be on the front lines of the search,
but we’re proud to care for the hearts of the heroes who are.”

This collaborative effort goes beyond the responsibility of veterinarians—it stems from the heartfelt dedication of every member of the Erawan team, who stand ready to support all lives affected by this tragedy.

This is another moment of pride for us—
to have been part of the earthquake rescue mission.
